Seeking Ancestors
We regularly receive contacts about our church records. We are glad to help where we can.
See Burials and Grave-stones (listings recently extended!). Also some early Birth records. There's a special page for those connected to the founding Cubitt/Cooke family. Do get in touch if you trace your ancestors through this site.
Making Connections
From this website we've had about 25 people contact us with information about their forebears and have been able to put some in touch with each other (with their permission of course). This includes three great-great-great grandsons of the founders, William and Martha Cubitt. One lives in the USA, one in Africa and the third in Norfolk, with yet other relatives in Australia. (See the "Past Meets Present" Open Weekend Pictures for when some of them met up for the first time.)
We also had contact with descendents of one of the early ministers, Rev. Samuel Nash (1867-69); and one of the Sunday School pupils from the late 1800s. The power of the internet!
All these contacts help us realise how the Present is actively linked to the Past. And the one constant is of course
the faithfulness of God!
