In 2011 Neatishead Baptist Church will be celebrate its 200th Anniversary. We are planning a year of special events and reports.
Did you attend the church, Sunday School or Youth Groups, carve your name on the brickwrod, get married here or are your relatives buried in the church yard?
We need information, memories, photographs and memorabilia, please!
A big Thank you to those who have already been in touch and supplied copies of marriage certificates, photographs or information about ancestors who had links with the church. It was good to recently meet a descendent of one of the early ministers of the church, Rev. Samuel Nash (1867-69) and also relatives from the USA of one of the Sunday School pupils of around the same era.
Maybe you are you interested in church history or graveyards? We We have some records but need more. We would love, for example, to have better records of all the graves and our church history in general. If you live locally, would you be willing to help?
Or, from experience at your own church, you may have ideas for events we could include in our Neatishead Baptist 200 programme. We'd love to hear from you!
