Community

In our community we take regular assemblies at the local primary school. At the other end of the age range, we take a monthly service at a nearby home for the elderly. And, for the mid-range age group, we started the local 30s-60s Social Group.
With other local churches we share Women’s World Day of Prayer, Christian Aid and Remembrance Day services and the annual St Benet’s Abbey service. With Churches Together in Wroxham, Hoveton, Belaugh & Neatishead we share the Christian Unity Service, the Hoveton Riverside Service, a summer Holiday Club for Children and Carol Singing. And we also share in fellowship and training events with the wider Baptist family.

We support the Norwich Foodbank.  Members of our fellowship are generous in bringing items which are regularly taken to the collection point to be passed on where they are most needed.  For more information about this, see the Network Norwich pages.

twamWe are a collection point for Tools with A Mission throughout the year.  Gardening tools, sewing machines and typewriters can all be refurbished for use in developing countries.

We also support a range of other mission & care agencies in the UK and abroad.

Through this website we have links with the wider world. In 2011 – our 200th Anniversary year – over 2,200 people visited the site, including 900 new Visitors. The power of the internet! Those in the USA remain the most numerous, often seeking ancestors from our Gravestones lists.
