Here and Now

A church is much more than a building, it’s people

We are a quite small congregation, but people remark on the big welcome they receive.

Our pastor, Reverend Sue Seeley, joined us in February 2004. Sue is involved with  as is Sue's involvement with the local school and the Friends and Neighbours group. The Church Lounge-in-the-Stable (see Pictures) - is another way of being available.

Our church: Numbers are increasing and people are growing in their faith. Two more people joined this year, taking formal membership to 21, with average congregations around 30.  Our Aim for 2009 is to "Live Jesus' Way". We also take a monthly service at a local home for the elderly, so those who can no longer attend worship at church are not forgotten.
Other churches: We enjoy good relations with the local Anglican and Methodist churches. See Links with Others for further details.

Caring for those connected with the church and the community is one aspect of our service. All proceeds from our Coffee Mornings go to local charities. So we also support
Tools with a Mission, BMS World Mission ( the Baptist missionary society) and Kanaan Haz, an orphanage in Hungary.

For what is happening in the church see the Church Magazine, Regular Meetings and Other Events.
